MIAMI, FLA – February 7, 2025– Daniel D. Dolan has been installed as the 2025 President of the Miami Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). This esteemed organization is dedicated to preserving and promoting the civil jury trial, a cornerstone of the American judicial system.

ABOTA, founded in 1958, is an invitation only, national association of experienced plaintiff and defense civil trial lawyers and judges who are committed to the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and civility in the practice of law. The Miami Chapter actively supports these principles through education, advocacy, and outreach, including programs such as the James Otis Lecture Series for high school students, the Teachers Law School, and the Third District Court of Appeal program that brings students into the courtroom to observe live oral arguments.

As President of ABOTA’s Miami Chapter, Dolan is focused on continuing the organization’s mission of safeguarding the independence of the judiciary, advancing the art of trial advocacy, and fostering civics education. One of his initial actions as President was reaching out to the Judiciary of the 11th Judicial Circuit, emphasizing ABOTA’s commitment to supporting the Court and promoting its longstanding program of serving pro bono as Guardians Ad Litem in cases involving minor settlements.

“ABOTA occupies a unique and vital role in the legal ecosystem because its members are both plaintiff and defense trial lawyers whose mutual objective is promoting civility and best practices in civil jury trials” said Dolan. “The recent case management amendments to the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure will provide the most recent opportunity for ABOTA lawyers to lead by example”.

Dolan has built a distinguished career representing clients in personal injury and wrongful death litigation across the country. His leadership in ABOTA will further the organization’s impact in South Florida, reinforcing its mission to elevate professionalism in trial practice and uphold the constitutional right to trial by jury.
